Lyrics; Bon Jovi - Livin' On A Prayer
Once upon a time, Not so long ago.
Tommy used to work on the docks, Unions been on strike,
He's down on his luck, it's tough, so tough,
Gina works the diner all day, Working for her man, She brings home her pay
For love, For love.
She says we've got to hold on to what we got, cause it doesn't make a difference
If we make it or not, we've got each other and that's a lot,
For love, well give it a shot.
Wooah, we're half way there, Livin' on a prayer,
Take my hand, we'll make it I swear, Livin' on a prayer.
Tommy's got his six string in hock, Now he's holding in what he used,
To make it talk, so tough, it's tough,
Gina dreams of running away, When she cries in the night,
Tommy whispers baby it's okay, someday.
We've got to hold on to what we got, cause it doesn't make a difference
If we make it or not, we've got each other and that's a lot,
For love, well give it a shot.
Wooah, we're half way there, Livin' on a prayer,
Take my hand, we'll make it I swear, Livin' on a prayer.
We've got to hold on ready or not, You live for the fight when it's all that you've got.
Wooah, we're half way there, Livin' on a prayer,
Take my hand, we'll make it I swear, Livin' on a prayer.

Lyrics; Iron Maiden - The Trooper
You'll take my life but i'll take yours too, You'll fire your musket but o'll run you through,
So when your waiting for the next attack, You'd better stand there's no turning back,
The bugle sounds the charge begins, But on this battle field no one wins,
The smell of acrid smoke and horses breath as I plunge on into certain death,
Oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh,
Oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh.
The horse he sweats with fear we break to run, The mighty roar of the russian guns,
And as we race towards the human wall, The scream of pain as my comrades fall.
We hurdles bodies that lay on the ground, And the russians fire another round,
We get so near yet so far away, We wont live to fight another day,
Oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh,
Oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh.
We get so close near enough to fight, When a russian gets me in his sights,
H pulls the trigger and I feel the blow, A burst of rounds takes my horse below,
And as I lay there gazing at the sky, My body's numb and my throat is dry,
And as I lay forgotten and alone, Without a tear I draw my parting groan,
Oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh,
Lyrics; Avenged Sevenfold - So Far Away
Never feared for anything, Never shame but never free,
A light that healed a broken heart with all that it could.
Lived a life so endlessly, Saw beyond what others see,
I tried to heal your broken heart with all that I could.
Will you stay, Will you stay away forever.
How do I live without the ones I love, Time still turns the pages of the book it's burned,
Place and time always on my mind, I have so much to say but you're so far away.
Plans of what our futures hold, Foolish lies of growin' old,
It seems were so invincible, the truth is so cold.
A final song, a last request, A perfect chapter laid to rest,
Now and then I try to find a place in my mind.
Where you can say, You can stay awake forever.
How do I live without the ones I love, Time still turns the pages of the book it's burned,
Place and time always on my mind, I have so much to say but you're so far away.
Sleep tight, I'm not afraid, The ones that we love are here with me,
Lay away a place for me, Cause' as soon as i'm done i'll be on my way,
To live on eternally.
How do I live without the ones I love, Time still turns the pages of the book it's burned,
Place and time always on my mind, And the light you left remains but it's so hard to stay,
When I had so much to say and you're so far away.
I love you, you were ready,
The pain is strong and urges rise, But i'll see you,
When it lets me, your pain is gone, your hands untied.
So far away, I need you to know,
So far away, And I need you to, Need you to know.
Initial Ideas.
Front Cover; My front cover is going to have an image on it which will just take up half of the page. I have decided to do this so that I have somewhere to put all my subheadings etc. I will have the masthead in a bold font which stands out and the name of my magazine is 'High Voltage'. The masthead will be in two different colours. The first part 'High' will be in a bold white font so it stands out against my background. The second part of the masthead 'Voltage' will be in an orange font. This is also so it stands out against my background and so it symbolises lightning. The selling line will be at the bottom of the page and that will also be in a bold orange font. The selling line will say 'Live Life With Volume'. I have chosen to have that specific selling line because you need to listen to Rock/Metal music on loud because it isn't the same if you don't. On my front cover there will be a date and price underneath my masthead. The background of my front cover will be a graffiti wall which shows rebellious behaviour.

Target Audience and Price.
The target audience for my music magazine will be people who love rock/metal or screamo music. The age range for this will be from 14+. I have chosen this specific age range because you start to have more money when you turn into a teenager and you will need money to buy this magazine. Another reason why I have put the age 14+ is that some of rock/metal songs have swearing in them so I don't think it would be suitable to have someone under the age of 14 listening to them.
The magazine will be released on a weekly basis. This is so that the people that are buying the magazine will be able to get it every week so that they can see new tours which have been released and they can see different information on there favourite bands/singers.
The price of this magazine will be £1.40. This is so that teenagers will be able to afford it and they will be able to get it whenever they want. I have also done it at this price because it isn't too expensive. The price I have out the magazine at is also a good price because when there is offers on it will encourage people to buy it. For example, more people buy Kerrang! when there is either an offer with posters or when you get a free CD within that particular issue.
Music Genre.
The music genre I am focusing my magazine on is rock and metal. This is because this is the music I listen to and I will be able to relate to this music. I am also focusing my magazine on rock because I buy Kerrang! alot and I know what needs to be included in an issue of that magazine. I have also chosen this genre because all of my favourite bands will fall in to this genre which means I can write about them when doing my LLIAR analysis and I will enjoy that more than writing about something I do not have an inteest in. Another reason why I have chosen this genre is because I goto gig's at Ringside and Lamp. Going to these gig's will help me do my music magazine because I can take pictures of them which may be used as the front cover or on the double page spread.
Avenged Sevenfold - Nightmare
The link above is of an American Heavy Metal band that I listen to a lot. The reason I have put this specific youtube link in is because it is a song that is well known by everyone that listens to this genre of music. Avenged Sevenfold came together in 1999 and have released five studio albums, one live album/compilation/DVD, and eighteen singles and sold more than four million albums worldwide. The band Avenged Sevenfold are one of the most famous heavy metal bands.
Iron Maiden - The Trooper
The link above is of one of the best heavy metal bands ever. The British band Iron Maiden came together in 1975 and are still touring 36years later which shows how good they actually are. Iron Maiden are considered as the best heavy metal bands in history. They have released a total of thirty-six albums: fifteen studio albums; eleven live albums; four EPs; and six compilations. They have also sold over 85million records worldwide and have played over 2000 live shows all over the world. The reason I have chosen an Iron Maiden link is because they are clearly one of the well known heavy metal bands which are still around. Iron Maiden are arguably the best heavy metal band ever.
Bon Jovi - Livin' On A Prayer
The link above is from the best rock band known, Bon Jovi. Bon Jovi came together in 1983. In their career they have released eleven studio albums, three compilation albums and one live album, and have sold 130 million records worldwide. They have performed more than 2,600 concerts in over 50 countries for more than 34 million fans. With Bon Jovi succeding what they have in their career just shows how many people love the band. This is why they are the best Rock band ever!

LLIAR Analysis - 3rd Double Pgae Spread
Language - The image on this double page spread takes up one full page but then also goes onto the next page as well. The image is Taylor Momsen and she is the lead singer of the famous American rock band The Pretty Reckless. The image is of her posing with her long blonde hair and her heavy eye makeup. The blonde hair and heavy eye makeup is a symbol of been a rock chick. The masthead of this specific article is in a bold font which stands out against the black background. The word 'Wild' is in a pink font which stands out against the background. The word 'Child' is in a large bold white font which also stands out against the background and also contrasts well with the pink writing. The article is a Kerrang! editor asking Taylor questions and she is answering them. The questions are in a pink colour which is the same as the masthead ('Wild'). This is used so that you can tell the difference between the questions and answers. The answers are in a white font which is the same as the masthead ('Child'). This makes the article stand out and it also shows consistency throughout the article.
